Some time ago I found a nice open source Flash Game Engine called the Pushbutton Game Engine.
This will probably prove very usefull and will save me lots of time creating my own base Game Engine.
“The PushButton Engine is an Open Source, Flash game engine and framework that’s designed for a new generation of games. PushButton Engine makes it easy to bring together great existing libraries and components for building Flash games. Spend less time on code, more time on building fun games.”
The pushbutton engine is created by PushButton Labs
PushButton Labs is made up of industry veterans that founded Dynamix (Tribes, Incredible Machine) and GarageGames. At GarageGames, they published the $100 Torque Game Engine, forever changing the Indie game technology market. PushButton Engine is the result of decades of game development experience, and they look forward to working with this community to change the industry again.
The next weeks I will research this game engine on usefullness and performance and will make some little test flash applications/games to see how it all works. If the pushbutton game engine will deliver, I will use it as a base and build the game design tools and game players upon this.
